A ceremony to lay the first stone held on 20th November begins the construction of Pharmaloop’s new plant for the development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid). Pharmaloop,a Laboratorios Salvat company, will invest €35 million in new facilities that, once completed in 2020, will cover an area of 23,000 m2 dedicated to the manufacturing of sterile liquid formulations. The new centre will be equipped with the most advanced technology aimed at a yearly production capacity of more than 350 million units.
Telstar is leading the engineering phase and compiling a GMP validation plan to achieve the North American (FDA) and European (EMA) authorizations. Furthermore, after the building has been constructed, Telstar will carry out technical installations in accordance with GMP requirements and the commissioning of the new infrastructure.
