Telstar, the consulting, engineering and projects company for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector, is committed to providing financial support for ACE Foundation projects over the next three years.

The collaboration agreement signed by both entities includes donations to the Foundation until 2022. In addition, Telstar has included as an extraordinary donation a refrigerator for the storage of biological samples that ACE Foundation collects for scientific purposes.

This donation contributes to the growth and maintenance of the collection of Alzheimer’s genetic samples, which is one of the largest in the world in the field of dementias, with more than 20,000 samples.

“Genetics is one of the fields in which Alzheimer’s research is advancing most rapidly in recent years. Thanks to Telstar’s generous contribution, we will be able to continue developing projects along these lines with the aim of increasing knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease”, comments Mercè Boada, co-founder and medical director of ACE Foundation.

For his part, Emili Pablos, general manager of Telstar, expresses the “great honour it is for our company to be able to contribute to the great cause that ACE Foundation carries out on a daily basis. We are very pleased to have signed this collaboration agreement to be able to do our bit in the fight against Alzheimer’s”.
